1994 – Vormetal is Founded

Vormetal GmbH is founded in Essen, Germany, by two engineers with a shared vision of providing high-quality tooling and precision parts for industrial applications. The company begins with a small team specializing in toolmaking and low-volume CNC machining.

2002 – Expansion into Die Casting

Recognizing the growing demand for lightweight metal components, Vormetal invests in its first cold chamber die casting machines and expands into aluminum die casting, offering integrated solutions from tooling through to finished parts.

2008 – ISO 9001 Certification Achieved

To formalize its commitment to quality, Vormetal attains ISO 9001 certification, strengthening its position as a reliable supplier to automotive, industrial, and electronics sectors.

2014 – New Manufacturing Facility Opens

Vormetal moves into a newly constructed, state-of-the-art production facility spanning 8,000 square meters, featuring expanded die casting, CNC machining, and inspection capabilities to support larger customer programs and increased production volumes.

2017 – Surface Finishing Capabilities Added

To offer end-to-end solutions, Vormetal introduces in-house surface finishing services including shot blasting, powder coating, and anodizing, streamlining production and improving quality control for customers.

2021 – Focus on Sustainability Initiatives

Vormetal launches new sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing energy consumption, optimizing material recycling processes, and minimizing environmental impact across all operations, aligning with customer and regulatory expectations.
